Choose the decision you need to make

For equipment enquiries, distinguish the component that failed from damage or expenses that followed. Record symptoms as observations and let a qualified assessment address cause. Keep diagnosis, emergency assistance, repair and optional upgrades separate in estimates. An invoice can prove expenditure without proving why the fault occurred or that the policy covers it. For a quotation, describe installed equipment accurately and retain commissioning records, particularly where the arrangement differs from the original specification.

Use the guides with your own documents

Start with the question closest to the decision in front of you. Gather the records identified in that guide and separate known facts from missing information. The worked example illustrates how to frame an enquiry; it does not report an actual claim or guarantee the outcome. Keep any written response with the policy version and facts to which it applies.
